The ChlorTainer from TGO Technologies is a high-pressure containment vessel into which a 1-ton or 150-pound chlorine gas cylinder is processed. If the cylinder should leak, chlorine gas is contained within the vessel and processed at a normal rate. All of the chlorine gas is used, and no hazardous waste is generated. No scrubber systems, fans, pumps, tanks or mechanical systems are required. The vessels can be installed indoors or even located in an open-air structure as long as it provides shelter from direct sunlight and rain. The system is defined as passive for the purpose of the RMP and meets with Article 80 of the Uniform Fire Code. All vessels are built to ASME code and can withstand the maximum pressure produced by a chlorine cylinder.
